Additions To Practical Stewards
- Help landowners, river associations and local governments be good stewards of their river banks
- Offer to help plant trees which will shade the river and help prevent erosion (to find out about local projects you can contact the US Fish & Wildlife Service, the Natural Resource Conservation Service, your Soil and Water Conservation District, or the Resource Conservation and Development Council)
- Organize a project to clean up sections of the river and to keep them clean
- Offer to help work on areas were streambank erosion is a problem
